After the overwhelming response received to this initiative of promoting film culture in the state through weekend screening, this weekend the Entertainment Society of Goa will screen acclaimed films like Bogllant”, Calapor” ,The Man Who Moved The Mountain  and  “News” . The film “BOGLLANT will be screened on 10th January 2014 at 5:30pm, CALAPOR will be screened on 11th January 2014 at 5:30pm ,the film “THE MAN WHO MOVED THE MOUNTAIN  and  “NEWS”  will be screened on 12th January 2014, 5:30pm, all the screening will be held at Maquinez Audi-I.

Synopsis

BOGLLANT (1975)

Synopsis – Money is root of all evil. The film features tragic incidences induced on a family at the hands of a relative for vested interests.

CALAPOR (2013)
Synopsis - When a reluctant Jyotsna, an artiste with her assistant Ragini arrive in Calapor Central Jail to conduct an art program for prison inmates, initiated by a very sincere and committed reformist Jail Superintendent, Karunakar, the agonizing past of a criminal husband who cheated her and a delinquent son who ran away, returns to torment her. With adversity comes an opportunity; a second chance that Jyotsna as a mother cannot afford to lose or fail to succeed.

THE MAN WHO MOVED THE MOUNTAIN (2010)
Synopsis – This documentary is real portrayal of Dashrath Manjhi who dug a road through Gehlour hills, working day and night for 22 years from 1960 to 1982. Through his efforts, the distance between the Atri and Wazirganj blocks of the Gaya district from 55 km to 15 km, bringing him national acclaim.

NEWS (2009)
Synopsis - Raju, a 10 year old boy works as house help in Mumbai. His Master is indifferent towards him and is obsessed with the News on television. Raju leads a mundane life....till he meets Mohini. To impress Mohini, Raju promises her that he would narrate one news to Mohini every day. The two friends share a unique relationship based on News. The film is about Raju, Mohini and their 'NEWS'.
